Comet 220P/McNaught, 13 August 2026
Comet 220P/McNaught came to perihelion on 14 June 2026. On either side of perihelion, it experienced an outburst in brightness. On the second such outburst, on 05 August 2026, the comet brightened by a factor of approximately 600.
The below image was captured slightly more than one week after the August outburst.
