Benefits of Membership

We welcome new members! Benefits of membership include, for you and your immediate family:

• Wednesday evenings at Orwell Park Observatory.
• Monday evening meetings, talks and workshops at Newbourne Village Hall.
• Other events as arranged, including observing sessions, lectures, public outreach, trips.
• Use of the Society's equipment, including the Tomline Refractor (training will be provided).
• Monthly OASI Newsletter.
• Members' WhatsApp and email groups.

Membership Fees

The annual subscription is £20.00.

Subscriptions are due on 01 January each year. Members joining throughout the year pay pro-rata as follows:

• January - August pay pro rata the annual rate and renew subscriptions in January of the following year.
• September - December pay the annual rate and renew subscriptions in the second January after joining.

Joining or renewing in September 2026, the fee is £20.00 and subsequent renewal is due on 01 January 2028.

If you are interested in joining, please attend one of our meetings at Newbourne. There you will meet some of our enthusiastic members who will share with you their passion for astronomy and tell you about OASI and the activities that we pursue.
